Inspiring future generations

Our wonderful supporters donated 91 trees to mark the Jarman Centre’s 30th birthday and many came to help plant them on Saturday 17 November.

We welcomed around 100 volunteers and all those trees were planted in the morning, by which time we were all ready for lunch! Our special guest, Lily Bacon DL, joined in – demonstrating her ‘inner Guide’ by helping to serve the lunch prepared by the Guides who were there for the weekend as part of their Baden-Powell Award. (This is the highest award in the Guide section.)

During the afternoon Lily spent time with the girls answering their questions and posing a few of her own!

Thank you Lily for helping to make it such a special day! And thank you to all who donated trees, helped organise the day, prepared the delicious lunch, and for planting all those trees. Do come back and see how they grow!
